REGISTRAR’S DIRECTION NO 1 OF 2008

Documents Filed in the DIFC Courts

With effect from 1st September 2008, copies of documents to be filed in the DIFC Courts should be submitted in electronic form only. This request does not apply to documents which must be sealed by the Courts as required under the Rules of the DIFC Courts nor does it apply to bundles prepared for hearings.

Electronic documents can either be filed via email to the DIFC Courts Registry email account — registry@difccourts.ae or by delivering a disk containing the electronic files. Documents sent by email must contain in the body of the email message a list of all the documents attached to the email and will be acknowledged. Documents sent to the Courts which are contained in a disk must be accompanied by a covering letter listing all of the documents contained in the disk. This covering letter will be acknowledged as received once the disk has been checked to confirm that all the documents listed are on the disk.
