We have an exciting new vacancy for a Compliance Officer, Ancillary services, at the DIFC Courts.
As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory standards by reviewing Wills within specified KPI timeframes, conducting Will registration meetings in compliance with the Rules, managing Wills Draftsmen applications, and serving as the primary point of contact for phone, email, and walk-in enquiries, particularly those of a complex nature, beyond the scope of the Customer Support Officer.
Role summary
Execute ad hoc projects as required, ensuring timely completion and alignment with departmental goals.
To meticulously review and register Wills, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, verifying the accuracy and completeness of all supporting documents submitted.
Oversee the processing of applications for Wills Draftsmen registrations, ensuring accurate data collection and conducting assessments within specified KPI timelines
Collaborate with the Finance Department to address payment-related matters, ensuring timely settlement and issuance of receipts to court users
Collaborate with the Digital & Data Department and pertinent service providers to resolve technical issues effectively.
Efficiently partner with the Digital & Data Department to enhance the Court Management System (CMS) and e-Registry portals, for enhanced court user experience and improved service delivery
Participate in Wills Service awareness sessions, contributing to the development and delivery of compliance training programmes, and offer support and conduct presentations, as needed
Address complex enquiries via telephone, email, or walk-in, that fall beyond the scope of the Customer Support Officer, ensuring accurate, timely responses and customer satisfaction
Provide comprehensive training and support to new staff members as necessary, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for their roles
Compile reports and documentation for internal departments and regulatory authorities as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with audit standards
Qualifications
2-3 years proven experience working in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the legal industry.
Professional experience
Bachelor’s degree in law (preferred), Business Administration, or related field
Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to Will registry services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
