Notary Service

The DIFC Courts Notary Service was established by Resolution No. 1 of 2025 issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the President of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and its authority affirmed by Dubai Law No. 2 of 2025 issued by his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The service authorises Notary Officers of the DIFC Courts to administer, witness, and attest oaths, affidavits, affirmations or declarations, and certify and attest true copy documents. The primary source verification service is conducted through DataFlow. All notarised document transactions are logged in Hadera's Distributed Ledger Technology.

Mediation Service Centre

The DIFC Courts Mediation Service Centre was established by Resolution No. 2 of 2025 issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the President of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and its authority affirmed by Dubai Law No. 2 of 2025 issued by his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The service offers parties an alternative dispute resolution option facilitated by registered members of the DIFC Courts Panel of Mediators. The confidential and fully electronic service allows parties from anywhere in the world to conduct sessions virtually resulting in enforceable or non-enforceable settlements.

Additional notes:

  • Above fees include five (5) mediation sessions, inclusive of one (1) preliminary meeting
  • For DIFC Courts’ Courts of First Instance and Court of Appeal recommended mediations, first three (3) sessions are complimentary, inclusive of one (1) preliminary meeting
  • Additional mediation sessions will be charged USD 200 per session
  • Each mediation session is up to four (4) hours
  • Mediation fees are borne by the Parties equally, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Parties
  • Fees mentioned above are exclusive of Mediator fees
