Working in cooperation with the DIFC Courts and the Dubai Courts, IACA is proud to announce plans for an international conference dedicated to sharing best practices and procedures in court excellence. The event will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai on 9 and 10 December 2013.

IACA is a global association of professionals who share a common interest in promoting improved administration in justice systems worldwide. It is a non-profit association which encourages the pursuit of excellence internationally – collaborating with court officials to develop the institutional frameworks and operational efficiencies of courts everywhere. The Dubai event will be the sixth international conference convened by IACA since its foundation in 2004. Delegates will feature judges, justice ministry officials, senior court managers, lawyers, judicial system consultants and academics from across the world, with attendance expected from more than 40 countries.

The conference will focus on the concept of ‘court excellence’. Speakers will include world renowned experts in the field of operational efficiency, registry support technologies and higher standards of court user response and support.

HE Dr Ahmed Bin Hazeem, Director General of Dubai Courts, said: “We are delighted to welcome IACA to Dubai and to jointly host the first regional event on this important topic.”

Jeffrey Apperson, Chief Executive Officer of IACA, commented: “Dubai was selected by us based on key factors including important advances in the DIFC Courts and Dubai Courts, strong government support, and Dubai’s expanding role as a business, tourism and aviation hub.”

Mark Beer, Chief Executive and Registrar of the DIFC Courts, added: “The English language DIFC Courts have always placed a strong emphasis on court excellence, efficiency and customer engagement. We have worked closely with IACA in recent years to strengthen bonds between the organisation and courts across the Gulf region and we are very pleased to be a partner in hosting this gathering.”
