DIFC Courts

Mediation Service Centre

The DIFC Courts Mediation Service Centre was established by Resolution No. 2 of 2025 issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the President of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and its authority affirmed by Dubai Law No. 2 of 2025 issued by his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The service offers parties an alternative dispute resolution option facilitated by registered members of the DIFC Courts Panel of Mediators and conducted in accordance with the Mediation Service Centre Rules. The confidential and fully electronic service allows parties from anywhere in the world to conduct sessions virtually, with a pathway for parties to opt for directly enforceable settlements as Mediation Orders via DIFC Courts’ Enforcement Writs.

Mediators representing Parties in a DIFC Courts mediation must be registered members of the DIFC Courts Panel of Mediators. The registration fee is waived for the first twelve months. Mediator applications must be submitted through the eRegistry portal here. Entry on the Panel of Mediators is administered in accordance with the Guidelines for Registration – Panel of Mediators.

Commercial Mediation Scheme

The DIFC Courts has launched a six-month Commercial Mediation Scheme, in collaboration with The Mediation Hub MENA. Running from 1 July to 31 December 2026, the scheme gives eligible businesses access to a complimentary one-hour conflict management consultation and a 50% reduction in DIFC Courts Mediation Service Centre administration fees where they proceed to mediation.
