ORDER WITH REASONS OF H.E. JUSTICE SHAMLAN AL SAWALEHI

UPON the Order of H.E. Justice Shamlan Al Sawalehi dated 17 June 2026 granting the Claimant's Enforcement Claim and Service Application (the "Order")

AND UPON paragraph 13 of the Order directing the Defendant to pay the Claimant's costs of the Enforcement Application and the Service Application on the standard basis

AND UPON the Claimant filing its Statement of Costs dated 2 July 2026

AND UPON reviewing the Statement of Costs and the supporting material

AND PURSUANT TO Part 38 of the Rules of the DIFC Courts ("RDC") and Practice Direction No. 4 of 2017 (Interest on Judgments)

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

1. The Defendant shall pay the Claimant the sum of USD 19,245.98 (the "Costs Award"), representing 80% of the Claimant's total costs claimed in the Statement of Costs, assessed on the standard basis.

2. The Costs Award shall be paid within 14 days from the date of this Order, pursuant to RDC 38.40.

3. In the event that the Defendant fails to pay the Costs Award within 14 days of this Order, interest shall accrue at the rate of 9% per annum from the date of this Order until full payment, in accordance with Practice Direction No. 4 of 2017.

1. This Order concerns the Claimant's entitlement to its costs pursuant to paragraph 13 of the Order in which the Claimant's Enforcement Claim and Service Application were granted.

2. Pursuant to paragraph 13 of the Order, the Defendant was directed to pay the Claimant's costs of the Enforcement Application and the Service Application on a standard basis, to be assessed by the Court by way of submissions if not agreed between the parties.

3. The Claimant filed its Statement of Costs dated 2 July 2026, claiming a total sum of USD 24,057.48, comprising the fees of three fee earners and disbursements.

4. The Statement of Costs reflects work undertaken by a Partner, a Senior Associate and a Junior Associate in connection with the preparation and pursuit of the Enforcement Claim and the Service Application.

5. I am satisfied that the work undertaken was reasonably incurred and that the hourly rates applied are broadly consistent with the guidance set out in Registrar's Direction No. 1 of 2023.

6. However, applying the standard basis of assessment under RDC 38.8 and RDC 38.23, and exercising my discretion I consider that a moderate reduction is appropriate.

7. I therefore award the Claimant 80% of the costs claimed, namely USD 19,245.98, as a fair, reasonable, and proportionate quantification of the Claimant's recoverable costs.
